Whoa Nellie! Big Juicy Melons. The Game!

Greg Freres & Dennis Nordman are venturing into the world of “custom” Pinball with their first irreverent mash-up of Fruit Crate Labels, Classic Pin-Up Art, and the retro-styling’s of Pinball Art that they know so well. Think about their earlier work like Scared Stiff, Dr Dude, Party Zone and Elvira and the Party Monsters.

The game, “Whoa Nellie! Big Juicy Melons” is a very limited series of 4 games that they began designing in late 2009.  “It’s like building a hot-rod from a classic car. The game is a highly modified Gottlieb Continental Cafe pinball machine from 1957 and now looks like a stack of fruit crates with a newly designed pinball playfield inside!”

The end result can be considered by many as “Art You Can Play”, taking the game of pinball to a new low-brow level in the world of art.  “Industry insiders gone outsider.”
