P-ROC PD-8x8

Driver boards are used to control features (coils, leds/lamps, motors, etc) on a pinball machine or in other applications. They can be driven by a P-ROC and many other programmable microcontroller-type devices.

Each driver board has an RS-485 serial interface so that it can be chained to other driver boards. Therefore, you can use as many boards as your application requires. Further, since the serial interface will continue to work at distances well over 10 feet (100 feet even), you can locate the boards in the backbox, under the playfield, or anywhere else in your machine.

The Power Driver Matrix 8x8 has 8 p-channel MOSFETs on bank A and 8 n-channel MOSFETs on bank B. Bank A is used to supply current (high-side) to 8 features using DC voltages up to 20V. It has a fused (5x20mm) power input header for the supply voltage. Bank B works exactly like the Sink-16 board, allowing low-side control of up to 8 features.

Power Driver Matrix 8x8 boards are typically used to control an 8x8 matrix (LED/lamps), though they can also be used for other applications. They can even be used in conjunction with other Power Driver Matrix 8x8 boards to control larger matrixes.
